Grounds - Pool Upgrade

A pool party and barbeque, relay races (our staff don't normally dress like this), along with the Principal being thrown in were highlights of the first day of swimming for the summer.

Thanks to the Hogben Charitable Foundation over $40,000 has been spent on improvements to our pool. Most significantly a new heat pump system which has raised the pool temperature from a chilly 12 degrees to a very pleasant 25 degrees.

The Hogben Charitable Foundation is very appreciative of donations from parents, the Rotary Club of "Garden City" Christchurch and the Community Trust.

The "new" pool was officially opened by Mike Haliday, foundation member and past Board of Trustees Chairman.
