The Villa Self Care Programme equips our students with the necessary skills for daily living.

The objectives are:
Personal Hygiene
Teeth cleaning, showering, hair care, nail care, use of toiletries - deodorant etc, toileting and programmes for enuresis where this is desired by the student themselves.
Grooming
Hair, clothing, awareness of appropriate dressing for occasions and climate. Tidiness, shoe cleaning, and general appearance.
Health
Recognising when he feels ill and knowing what to do, eg staying in bed, drinking fluids, taking medication on time etc.
Domestic Skills
Chores are carried out by the boys with supervision and help from staff who take each boy's personal ability into account. These personal responsibilities include: kitchen duties, dining room duties, bathroom duties, making their own bed, keeping their bedroom and wardrobe tidy, recognising when repairs to clothes are needed, knowing when dirty clothes need to be changed, simple baking, dishing up appropriate amounts of food when serving self or others, knowledge of tableware and dining equipment used.
