Enrolments Policy
The purpose of Halswell Residential College is to provide special education within a residential setting for male students who need significant curriculum adaptation due to an underlying intellectual impairment and whose educational, social and emotional needs, including behaviour, cannot be met in their current environment. Students will be in year levels 7-10 on enrolment.
Behaviour Management
Our Behaviour Management Programme is a comprehensive programme offering consistent intervention strategies across the College.
Vocational Training
The College provides a range of work experience placements within this programme.

At Halswell Residential College, everybody has Rights: This applies to boys, staff and whanau / family / caregivers.
Home-School Contact
With many boys living far from home, regular contacts through letters and telephone calls are important and encouraged.
